Self-love

I think that’s the post I was the most scared of. That’s why I decided to write about it now since it is a very important topic. I am not the perfect person to tell you that you need to love yourself and accept your beauty, but I still will.

But I don’t want to write 100 pages of why you should love yourself because why should you believe me. If I would do that you would probably think “You don’t know me, you can’t know this”.

You’re right I don’t know you. I don’t know if your hair is black and curly or blond and straight. I don’t know if you’re as tall as Michael Jordan or not. I have no idea if you weigh 50 kg or if you weigh 150kg.

I still know you are beautiful. How do I know this? Because there is no such thing as an ugly human being.

If you think you’re not perfect because f. ex. your belly isn’t extremely flat, think about that:

Who said that the body goals have to be round hips, flat belly, tiny waist etc.? Who wrote the “rules”? If you’re thinking that models and actresses have the “ideal body” just think why? What are the criteria of beauty?

You’re right there aren’t any.

Now, why do I talk about beauty while the topic was meant to be self-love? I

t’s because so many teens and adults have issues about how they look. This can be extremely dangerous. Again I’ve been there. Issues might lead to what I like to call “bad thinking”. And from there it’s just a step to depression or Anxiety.

So please the next time you’ll stand in front of the mirror and think about how “not perfect” you think you are, ask yourself two questions. What is perfect and why is it perfect?
